“I attended a show where Rag’n’Bone Man played his album for the first time to close friends and family. I played a few songs before and got chatting to his mates afterwards, one of which being UMAX. We almost immediately began talking about collaborating on some dance music. Around a year or more later, I got in touch about the IMAGINE EP remixes I wanted to put together and the rest is history. He turned the song around so quickly it really shows that music flows heavily through this guys veins.”
“I chose the track because it had a melancholy, innocent appeal and great lyrics. I felt my style of liquid drum and bass could compliment it very well, adding dark undertones and euphoria to give it a new dymnamic” - UMAX
The track was pitched up last minute due to it giving a whole different feeling at a higher pitch.
The original track was written during a period of Max’s writers block. “I stopped shaving my face, and said I wouldn’t shave until I finished a song. It started really getting to me, so I decided to make an intro to the EP so that I could shave, and it ended up being possibly the most emotional song on the EP! haha”.
